Every note can be shared as a read-only web page, optionally protected by a password.
Make a note public
- Open the note you want to share.
- Click the Share icon in the top-right corner.
- Flip Public link to on.
- Copy the generated URL — it looks like
note.space/p/abc123.
Anyone with the link can read the rendered note. They cannot edit it or see other notes in your workspace.
Password-protect a link
In the same share panel, enable Require password and set a passphrase. Visitors are prompted before the note loads. You can rotate the passphrase at any time; existing visitors are kicked out on the next request.
Invite specific people
If you'd rather give named access than open a public link:
- Open Share.
- Choose People with access instead of Public link.
- Enter the email addresses to invite.
Invitees sign in with their own account and the note appears in a Shared with me section in their sidebar.
NOTE
Public links and invited access aren't mutually exclusive. You can have a public link and a list of invitees with edit access on the same note.
Revoking access
To take a note offline, flip Public link back to off and click Revoke link to invalidate the URL. The next visitor sees a "This note is no longer available" page.
To remove a single invitee, click the × next to their row in the share panel.
What gets shared
A public link shows:
- the note title
- the rendered body
- the publish date
It does not show:
- your account email
- workspace name
- folder structure
- any other notes
