Quickstart

Sign in, create your first note, and share it in under a minute.

The 60-second tour.

1. Sign in

Head to note.space/auth/sign-up and either:

  • enter your email — we'll send a magic link, or
  • click Continue with Google for one-tap auth.

We don't store passwords. The magic link is single-use and expires in fifteen minutes.

2. Create a note

Press ⌘+N (or Ctrl+N on Windows) from anywhere inside the app. A new note opens immediately — the title and body are editable from the first keystroke.

TIP

Notes save on every change. There is no save button and there is no "unsaved" state. If you typed it, it's persisted.

3. Organise

Drag notes into folders in the left sidebar to group them by project, client, or topic. Drop a note onto another note to nest it.

4. Share

Click the Share icon in the top-right of any note. You can:

  • copy a read-only public link
  • protect the link with a password
  • invite specific people by email

Revoke access at any time from the same panel.

5. Install the desktop app

The web app is fully featured, but the desktop builds add:

  • a global Quick Capture hotkey (⌘+Shift+Space)
  • offline-first sync
  • native file-system integration

Grab them from /download.

That's it. Everything else in these docs is detail you only need when you need it.
